Generosity

Aly came up to me the other day, clutching the plastic container that has her stash of cookies.  She asked if she can give some to her friends Annie and Manolia.  Of course you may, sweetie!  I was pleasantly surprised!  You see, Richard and I always teach Aly to share: books, crayons, pencils...most especially food.  We constantly remind her that she is blessed because we can afford these things so it will be great to share them with her friends.  The last thing we want is for our daughter to grow up to be the kind of person who counts the number of chocolate bars that she has in the ref or the one who gets upset when somebody else eats her food without her permission.  That is just nasty!  We always tell her that we can always buy new ones and it's more fun to share your favorite goodies with your friends than to leave them in the pantry and forget about them until they rot.  Anyway, we know now that the lessons on generosity have finally paid off because she went to school with these:
